Day 1 Transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Musanze
We'll pick you up in Kigali and drive you to Volcanoes National Park. If time permits, you can enjoy a city tour of Kigali, After a 2-hour drive to Ruhengeri/Musanze, we'll visit the Iby’wachu Cultural Experience in Kinigi and then take a guided nature walk around Volcanoes National Park.

Day 2 Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes National Park & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda
We will begin the day with a golden monkey trekking activity in Volcanoes National Park. This primate resides in the high-altitude forests of the park. After observing their interactions, we will leave the park and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. The transfer to Bwindi National Park will pass through the Rwanda-Uganda border at Cyanika.

Day 3 Gorilla Trekking Adventure at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 3 involves a trek into the wilderness to observe the local wildlife. Following breakfast, you will proceed to the Bwindi National Park gate for a briefing on the gorilla trek. The national park guide will deliver a presentation outlining the key aspects of the trek and provide instructions on appropriate behavior to ensure the safety of both guests and animals. Subsequently, you will commence your tracking expedition, navigating through the rainforest until a family of mountain gorillas is located. The duration of the gorilla trek typically ranges from 3 to 6 hours, depending on the proximity of the gorillas within the forest. It may extend beyond this timeframe, so please be prepared accordingly.

Day 4 Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha Sector to Spot Tree-Climbing Lions
The journey begins in the morning from Bwindi National Park and proceeds to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The tour will pass through the landscapes of western Uganda, arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon. The first activity is a drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for tree-climbing lions. Unlike the lions on the Kasenyi plains, the lions at Ishasha climb fig trees due to the warm temperatures. While sightings of the tree-climbing lions are not guaranteed, a stopover at Ishasha is recommended.

Day 5 Kasenyi Plains Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Trip
We'll begin with an early breakfast at the lodge, then head to the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot various wild animals. Expect to see lions, buffalos, elephants, Uganda Kobs, Topi and bushbucks. While spotting all "big five" isn't guaranteed, you might see leopards on a lucky day. After lunch and a quick break at the lodge, we'll take the Kazinga Channel boat cruise to view crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and diverse bird species.

Day 6 Chimpanzee Trekking Experience at Kalinzu Forest & Return to Kigali
Day 6 starts with an early breakfast and a drive to Kalinzu Forest to track chimpanzees. You might also see other monkeys like colobus, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkeys. After the trek, we'll return to Kigali, Kampala, or Entebbe, depending on your chosen destination.
