Day 1 Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda

You will be picked up at Kigali Airport or downtown Kigali and driven to Volcanoes National Park. The drive to northern Rwanda passes through the northwestern town of Ruhengeri (Musanze) and ends at Volcanoes National Park. If time permits and you are interested, you can visit the Kigali Genocide Museum or take a complimentary Kigali city tour before proceeding to Musanze/Ruhengeri.

Day 2 Mountain Gorilla Trekking Adventure Experience

Today marks the primary event of our itinerary: the Rwanda gorilla trek. Guests will partake in a comprehensive full-day excursion to track the mountain gorillas within Volcanoes National Park. This park boasts a significant population of mountain gorillas, establishing it as the premier destination for gorilla tracking. The trek begins with a concise orientation on gorilla trekking guidelines to ensure guest safety and the preservation of these animals in their natural environment. Subsequently, guests will commence the trek into the dense forest to observe the gentle giants residing within Volcanoes National Park. This adventure involves navigating through thick vegetation alongside experienced guides until the moment of encountering these magnificent creatures. The experience promises to be extraordinary and is likely to be a highlight of the trip. After completing the gorilla trek, guests will descend and return to Kigali via a drive lasting approximately two hours.
