With over 400 bird species recorded, Naivasha is ideal for bird watching. Nairobi residents also visit for sailing, water skiing, and fishing. The lake has no crocodiles due to its cold waters but hosts several hippos. Vineyards along the shore produce grapes for Kenya's emerging wine industry.
